A lot is going on right now in the world and it’s justified to feel some extra tension. But, it’s important to focus on matters that are actually worth your time.
I’ve learned a lot about this topic through my own trial and error. I used to give all my attention to multiple insignificant problems and dwell on instances that just didn’t matter. Doing this made my head and heart feel very heavy for days on end, which is truly not the way to live this life.
I’ve come to realize that rather than sitting in unnecessary anxiety, it’s best to think about these matters in the bigger picture.
In these moments, it’s important to ask yourself: will this issue be of importance in five minutes? Five days? What about five years? Considering whether or not the problem can be solved is also something to examine.
Having this attitude really puts matters in perspective and can relieve a lot of needless stress that you might be hanging on to.
I personally have had an immense amount my plate the last few weeks and have used this method to cast aside negligible stressors that really aren’t worth my time, and I feel much better because of it.
Carrying this mindset has taken a long time for me to achieve – it can definitely be a learning curve, but I promise it’ll be worth it.
Lovely. There is a lot going on right now and so many of us are struggling. I find that the thing that helps me move forward is finding a silver lining. Something to be grateful for even in situations that are otherwise painful or difficult.
I love what you are doing with your blog and website. Keep up the good work. Your Momma would be so proud. xoxo
Yes, finding silver linings is definitely something that helps me as well. And thank you, that means the world. ?
